Campaign Goals

• Mobilise students to take action in the fight to combat climate change.
• Mobilise students to vote in greater numbers in the upcoming federal election.
• Highlight the ways in which students can reduce their carbon footprint at home and on their campuses.
• Lobby the federal government to take concrete steps to:
  • increase federal funding for public transit to improve accessibility and service, and adopt initiatives to encourage its use;
  • invest in a clean energy future that will create green jobs and build new industries;
  • invest in the study and implementation of renewable energy to reduce Canada's reliance on non-renewable carbon-intense energy resources;
  • adopt strong industry standards in support of energy conservation and renewable energy;
  • commit to funding sustainable initiatives on university and college campuses; and
  • adopt measures to minimize the impacts of climate change on people and ecosystems here and abroad.
