Are You an Indigenous Student? Connect with the Circle.
The Circle of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Students is the national caucus of the Canadian Federation of Students representing Indigenous post-secondary students across Turtle Island. The Circle exists to amplify Indigenous student voices, advocate for equitable access to education, and support Indigenous student organizing at the local, provincial, and national levels. Our priorities are determined by Indigenous students themselves and shaped by the realities Indigenous learners face in pursuing post-secondary education. Through collective action, advocacy, and community-building, the Circle works to address both systemic barriers and the everyday challenges experienced by Indigenous students on campuses and in communities.

Our Work
For more than 30 years, the Circle has been at the forefront of advocacy for Indigenous students. Our work has included addressing:
- Racism and discrimination on campus
- Funding barriers within the Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP)
- The exclusion of eligible Indigenous students from educational supports
- Indigenous sovereignty and self-determination
- Access to clean drinking water
- Land rights and land claim disputes
- Resource extraction and pipeline development
- The broader social, economic, and political issues impacting Indigenous communities
The Circle continues to advocate for Indigenous students while advancing justice, reconciliation, and meaningful change across Post secondary institutions and beyond.
